This pumpkin spice protein smoothie bowl is a delicious breakfast or after workout treat to support your workout goals.
It is made with a few simple ingredients and it captures those warm flavors of fall. The smoothie is sweetened with dates and a little bit of honey.
The pumpkin spice protein smoothie bowl contains 15 grams of protein. I’m using pumpkin seeds protein powder in this smoothie to boost the protein content. Pumpkin seed protein powder is neutral and mild in taste, unlike some other protein powders out there. It basically tastes like ground pumkin seeds, with no weird aftertaste. It is unsweetened and free from artificial flavors. It’s also a vegan, fully plant based source of protein. And, super healthy as well!
You could of course, also use a different kind of protein powder, but make sure it’s unsweetened and neutral in taste, or the taste of this smoothie may not be the same.
Tip:
For this pumpkin spice protein smoothie bowl, I’ve used pumpkin puree. You can make this yourself, but store bought is of course the most convenient. If you can’t find pumpkin puree (I happen to live in a country, where that isn’t readily available) , check the baby section of your store. It is sold in small glass jars, as a puree for babies 😉
